Phone Box started operating in September 2001 emerging from another local company as a repair centre for telecommunication equipment, thus being Malta's first official repair centre in this industry. The name Phone Box originated from the concept in F1 racing were cars enter their respective boxes for pit stops, hence the idea of PHONE BOX for servicing telecommunication equipment. During 2003 Phone Box was bought by other investors with experience in the mobile phone sector since 1995.

By then the company started evolving in trading mobile phones both for wholesale and retail. The premises in San Gwann were gradually upgraded to become one of the leading retail outlets in the telecommunication industry on the island. The repair workshop was also upgraded through the years with latest technology for mobile phone and cordless phone repairs. The workshop is situated in the same premises so all repairs are carried out in house by qualified technicians with years of experience in this field. In November 2009 Phonebox opened another shop in one of the main streets in Sliema,namely Bisazza street, and to serve better our clients, a Go Mobile representative is available in the same shop to assist in all Go services.

Apart from repairs, today Phone Box is a renowned name both for consultancy and customer care where we tend to stretch for more than our limitations to satisfy our customers with their needs. With over one hundred different models of mobile phones at each time and various models of cordless phones and normal home telephones one could be sure to find any item that would suit one's needs.
